Oh DeAr...

So, the pictures posted out of order again!!! Crapper!!

Well, as you can see last night was quite the night! Miss Avery Lyn fractured her arm! Yes you read that right, she FRACTURED HER FREAKING ARM!! The poor little baby girl. She was riding her sisters evil rip stick and fell, and snap there went the arm. In fact I was standing right next to her... It was one of those "hey Mom, look what I can do" moments. Only when I looked she biffed and I heard a nasty noise I don't ever want to hear again. I don't know if ya'll are fans of Harry Potter, but in the second one I believe there is a scene when Harry breaks his arm and they "repair" it but it turns to rubber. Well, that's similar to what Averys arm looked like when I picked her up off the driveway to take her inside. Good times!

I put her on the couch thinking I would wait out the night (much like I unknowingly did with Sammy) so I could take her to our doctors office in the morning. By the time I got her settled, and found some ice, there was a nice bump on her forearm. Crap! In case I hadn't mentioned it before Miss Avery Lyn is a little on the dramatic side, and you couldn't even get within a few feet of her without her having a nervous breakdown. So I just didn't know if it was her dramatic flare coming through or it really hurt THAT bad. Within about 15 minutes, that bump was pretty nasty AND in the same spot as Sammys break. Off to the ER we go...

A few short HOURS later we found out she has a buckle fracture. She is currently in a splint and sling and the doctor will tell us next week if she will need the full hard cast.

And to answer your next question, Yes I am waiting for CPS to show up on my doorstep! And my damn Mother of The Year Award STILL hasn't gotten here! It must be lost in the mail!

OH and just to top off the night, or I guess the morning. When we got home first thing this morning the dishwasher decided to bubble up and leak all over the place. (I had a 10 year old little helper who is so sweet and cleaned up while we were gone, she just put dish soap in the dishwasher instead of dishwasher soap) it was a fun couple hours of rinsing and redoing to get it to stop spitting bubbles all over the house! Really, it's like a day in the life of a looney bin!

Tonight I'm toasting my Diet Coke to poor Miss Avery Lyn!

These are the stories that will fill the Thanksgiving table 10 and 20 and even 30 years from now. It may seem tragic now, but will be funny then. And I'm sure the theme will be, how cool you were!! Chin up... You Rock!!

Yikes! Poor little girl! I can't believe you didn't throw your body under her and save her.

The bubbles remind me of that Brady Bunch episode. Heeheehee!

(You can just click and drag the pics to put them in the right order while you're in the edit mode,or sometimes it's just as easy to cut and paste the codes in the html code area.)

Oh that is THE worst sound ever! :( When I broke my foot, I too, heard the snap.... Not cool at all. So does she need a full cast?
As for the dishwasher.... I suggest the pre-measured detergent.... has saved us many times~!
