Weather Man said to expect the next storm in a few hours. Yay!

The "goodie bags" turned out so cute, I had to take a picture! They had cute little "pretty in pink" eyeshadow, lip gloss, & Sweetheart candy hearts. They were a HUGE hit! I know, I rock!!
We took the girls to have their hair done in an "up do" at Evans Hairstyling College. They were so so cute & I think they all had tons of fun! After their hair dos they got their nails painted. Then we came home & had pizza, cake & ice cream. It was a fun filled girly kind of a day!

The back row from left to right, is Savannah's cute cousin Allie, her friends Emily, Bethany & Marlee. The front row from left to right is her cute cousin Ryanne, & her little friend Emma & then of course Savannah & Avery Lyn.

Sickie McPukersons

Welcome to the infirmary! Miss Brookie started throwing up on Monday evening. She had a couple of miserable days & nights. Since I was so worried about her never even occurred to me that the rest of us might get sick. So, Wednesday I was feeling queasy & by that night I had joined the pukey ranks. By 2:30 the next morning Avery Lyn was in our room with her "throw up" bowl, being frequently used. Which is horrible when you're the mom & you're trying to help your sweet little 6 year old & instead you end up getting sick at the same time. Not a fun night!
The next morning Scott took Savannah skiing & Miserable Mommy stayed home & tried to be a Mom to our other 3 kids. By the time Scott got home, I walked straight upstairs & went to bed. I missed poor little Sammy joining the sick band wagon. So, he spent last night in our room with his "throw up" bowl. It's been a fabulous week at our house!
Sweet little Brookie! She's tried so hard to be happy even though I know how horrible she feels! Sweet Baby Girl!

This is our crazy snow! I guess we picked an okay week to all be sick, since we're dang near snowed in here! Okay it's not that bad, but we have a TON & it's snowed at least a little bit everyday! They say we have another storm coming in a few days. We'll see if we can get out of our driveway when that happens.
We hope you all have a great weekend & don't catch the flu, it stinks!!

I know, I know, you're all sick of seeing my fabulous vacation pictures. These are just for GirlyMom, she requested more WARM pictures! It's freezing here too, & I have nothing else to blog about. So, GirlyMom, your wish is my command!!! Enjoy!!! The Cliffs at Big Beach, just to the left of the picture was a huge seal, sunning himself on the sand. But, the picture of the seal didn't save I guess. So here is the gorgeous view. This was just a great shot, the day my sister & I went "resort crashing". I think we were at the Westin at Kapalua during this. My favorite it to people watch & I have some great shots of FREAKS walking by on the path! hee hee, I'll share those in another post.

I know it's not the best shot (I have pictures from an underwater camera being developed) but this was a cute sea turtle surfacing for some air. They were all over & tons of fun to watch while we snorkeled.

TTA: One Week & One Person

I just have to laugh at this Tuesday Tell All topic, since I've bored all of you with the fact that I just got back from Paradise. I thought it was all too perfect to be given an opportunity to talk some more about it. Especially since we have basically gotten snow everyday since my return & I have been freezing since I stepped off the plane in my capris & flip flops last week, it's been nice to re-visit my trip. Ya know, again..... I would obviously pick Maui, or to be more "specific" probably ANY Hawaiian Island. We went to Oahu a few years ago & that was fabulous too. The person I would pick would have to be Scott. He's so much fun when we're away from all the normal stresses. Not that he's not fun when we're home, but I'm more relaxed & I can appreciate him more. We had such a great time! We went on a snorkeling tour one day & on the way back from Molokai Island we saw a few Humpback Whales playing. It was so so much fun!!

More Maui!

Maui Baby!! We had so much fun! This picture makes me laugh, we look like a biker couple. ha ha ha. This was on our balcony of the condo. It was just beyond beautiful there!
Here are the boys carrying all of our stuff on our way to Big Beach. Kari & I would hang back & laugh at them. They were hilarious! Listening to the things they were saying. They were way too funny!
This was a cliff we stopped at on the way back from the other side of the island. There were a bunch of people gathered there whale watching. Unfortunately when we got there the whales weren't playing anymore. But, it was gorgeous! The boys went to the Mercedes-Benz Championship golf tournament. It was at Kapalua, which was about 45 minutes from where we were staying. So, we went with them & found some shops & a beach to hang out at. Actually we decided to "resort crash" & we hung out at the pool of the Mariott resort & ordered fruity girly drinks. The virgin Pina Coladas were our favorite! It was great!
This was the hot tub at the condos. Those are my feet, while I was lounging by the pool. Just to my right was the Poolside Massage Hut. We frequented the poolside massage a lot. I know, I'm officially rubbing it in now. I would love to be there right now. *sigh* I loved it so much!
Scotty was plum tuckered out! He laid down on the boogie board & promptly fell to sleep. They had been snorkeling for hours & he was a tired guy! Kari & I both shot a few pictures of him like this, it was too funny!
It was such a great break Thanks so much to my mother in law Laurel for flying out here from Florida to watch our stinky kids for us. She definitely had her hands full! Thanks so much Laurel, we can't begin to thank you enough! The kids are still talking about their "long sleepover" with Grandma! Thanks for loving our kids so much! That was more than fabulous!
Thanks to my sweet neighbors who drove kids to school for me so Grandma wouldn't have to pack all the kids up so many times a day. Thanks!
& Thanks to my mom for coming & staying with the kids the last night before I got home. It gave Laurel a night with her other grand kids & saved me because we didn't plan the last day as well as we should have.
Thanks so much, we hope Grandma Alger can recover from a week with our 4 kids!! You're the best!!

Aloha! We LOVE Maui! Holy Cow, we just got back from the DREAM vacation!! It was so much fun! We stayed in Kihei & visited most of the beaches along that side of the island. It was tons & tons of fun!!
How beautiful is that beach? My sister Kari & I laid in the sun while Scott & my brother in law Tim snorkeled. It was so gorgeous it was unreal!!

The boys on their way out. They would go find all the cool stuff & tell us where it was & then we would go check it out. They found all the cool "turtle spots" & then we could just go straight out & see the cool stuff. Kari & I went out & boogie boarded a few times. It was quite hilarious! Thank goodness there are no pictures of that!

Mahalo Scott for the BEST vacation we've ever had! It was so much fun to have a chance to miss the kids! & to remember that Scott & I ARE best friends & can have fun together! Thanks to Kari & Tim we had tons of fun guys!!! When are we going back?
