Brookie has decided to crawl! Woo Hoo! She's not a "late bloomer" she was just wanting to go at her own pace, right? She's only 11 and 1/2 months old! She's finally decided that one of the bigger kids isn't always around to bring her toys, so she was going to have to get them herself. She's hilarious!I have to say I have been very okay with her being a little on the late side with her milestones. I have no problem keeping her the baby for as long as possible. I did go ahead and ask the doctor if she was a little on the too slow side. He laughed at me, so I guess that means she's okay.
She is so proud of herself, she makes me laugh! Her poor face is also a little mangled. She can at times have a hard time supporting her melon, so she collapses & smashes her face on the floor. It's been a little sad at times. It doesn't help that the first few times she crawled her Mommy & sisters clapped & yelled YAY! It scared the poop out of her & she fell on her face once again. Oops!
She also has another little trick that we all think is the funniest thing ever! She makes the funniest krinkled nose, squinty eyed face. She knows she's the cutest thing ever & she has no problem using that to her advantage! She'll look at us and make this little face and laugh and we all crack up, and that just makes her do it more. She's lots of fun! I wish I could have gotten a better picture, I'll keep trying. She's a cutie patootie & quite the new trickster!** I have a couple new recipes up on the recipe blog. http://bigfatmommyrecipes.blogspot.com

♡ She's so cute! I love cringle nosed smiles! THey're my favorite!
She is adorable! Kamden makes a similiar squinty nose face. I heart it!
:-)
Yay Brookie! She is just too cute! I can't believe how fast kids grow up!
Isn't it amazing how smart and intuitive they are! I'm constantly underestimating what E. can do. It's so much fun to see them grow and develop their own little personalities!
She is a doll, so cute and happy. Congrats on the new trick. What fun!
She is just too cute for words! I love it!
She is a cutie Patootie!! I think she looks alot like Sammy (of course a girl version)
This is a hard age, i remember it quite well with "2" babies!
Enjoy it while it lasts, they grow up so dang fast!!
AWE!!! I wish J would have waited. I didn't WANT him to crawl--yet. Now, it is NON-STOP. Ugh.
She is so gorgeous. And that face, that beautiful face. I'm such a baby addict!!!
I lurrrrve her! Yay Brookie!!
Hey Kate...
Thanks for the tips regarding walking vs. jogging. I've heard that too, but I've also heard how jogging burns twice as much in half the time. So what's the truth?!
You and my 7 year old would get along great when swapping music. He's a total rocker. He asked me yesterday when would he be old enough to get a mohawk. What!?
She's so darn cute! I enjoyed the late crawling thing, too. Once they start the whole mobility thing, they don't go back, so I enjoyed those last few moments of not having everything I owned under baby-attack.
Awwwww.
Yay Brookie!
Keep trying to get those crinkle nosed smiles...Jaden does it, but i can't seem to capture it on camera...darn it.
Hey I think we might have the same TV stand...what is it with us???
I swear we have all the same furniture...we really need to get together soon..
Love little Brookie...she's a doll! Just like her Momma!
Dels does the same crinkle nose...I love it! Look at how happy she is with her new freedom! What cute pictures.
My third daughter didn't WALK till she was 22 months old...I wanted to push her to walk and yet liked seeing her small. *sigh*
Hey Kate, What a cute little girl!
Thanks for checking up on me. I wish I could say that this has been an uncomplicated second half of my pregnancy but it hasn't I have found myself having regular contractions. They are doing what they can to moniter me but I have been told to rest as much as possible and sitting only makes them happen more frequent hence why I have not blogged in forever. I am getting a lap top soon so I will be able to get on line more frequently.
Since inquiring minds want to know our babies are a boy and a girl which is so perfect since we have one of each already. I am so excited to meet these babies that these weeks are going by oh so slowly. I am now 27 weeks so I am hoping to get another 6 weeks out of them at the very least but hopefully more like 10 weeks.
Take Care and I will update soon
Candace
Stopping by to tell you I'm back and Alanis is safe for now, but thanks for having my back!
You rock.
She is so adorable!!! J decided to crawl this past month. I swear I did everything I could to stop him. I held him, distracted him, played with him. BUT, my DEAR friend had to buy this activity box and he INSISTED on getting to it. Now he wants to stand and walk (I swear, he is so NOT walking!!! I'm not ready!!! I'm not ready!!!).
Oh, and he looks like he's been through the ringer . . . his little mug is so bruised--it is so sad until he gives me his big toothless grin (which by the way, his first tooth just broke through this morning--mmmwwwwaaaahhhh!).
STOP growing already, will ya!
Oh, she is SUCH a doll!
Yeah for late bloomers, so you can enjoy babyhood a little longer! :)
