Okay, so I know it 's the Holiday Season and I should be feeling all warm and fuzzy with all the festivities. However, anyone who knows me; knows it's not easy for me to feel like that. Since I'm already being a little on the Grinchy side, I thought I'd just let everyone know what was on my mind!!
I H.A.T.E. the kindergarten pick up & drop off! I know you're all shocked and amazed that I have something raunchy and negative to say, but I can hold it in NO longer!!! Holy hell, it's like all the kindergarten moms (of course except me!) have LOST THEIR DAMN EVER LOVING MINDS!!! **Okay Wendi I know you're there too tell me if it's like this for the PM session...
Our kindergarten drop off/pick up area is not ideal. It's not very large, and it curves around actual parking spots. So, you would think people would use their heads. But alas, you would be wrong! The area in the actual drop off curve can hold probably 8 to 10 cars. IF, they pull all the way forward to leave room for others. (I'm sure you realize now that THEY DO NOT do this!) The "sweet spot" is in the smack dab center of the curve. So as you can probably guess lovely Moms in mini vans and SUV's PARK right there! Yes I said PARK! They park their cars in the middle of the area, and even tend to GET OUT to run into the classes to grab kids. And, it's never just one kid, NO NO don't be silly, it's the lady who is running car pool for about 8 kids. Then she runs out and has to strap them all into their booster seats and find the perfect location to store their backpacks full of very fragile construction paper on the 30 second drive home!
The main problem is, that they are rude and inconsiderate. But, really it's that if you don't see that the car is unmanned before you make the little turn in behind them, you're stuck! So, you are STUCK behind overly cautious must have been a flight attendant in her former life and is safely stowing away kindergarten carry ons for 15 minutes, while a HUGE line of cars in forming behind you and a perfectly good empty stretch of pick up area is sitting EMPTY! WHY DO THEY NOT PULL ALL THE WAY UP? WHY? Here is another question for the masses, WHY DO THEY FEEL THE DROP OFF/PICK UP ZONE IS A PARKING ZONE? If you're getting out, which isn't necessary because the teacher aides bring the little stinkers out to you, but if you need to get out PARK IN A PARKING ZONE FOR THE LOVE OF PETE!!
Okay I'm done. Well until I make the trip tomorrow and gold mini van is PARKED THERE AGAIN! She is of course right in front of the black suburban who BOTH think they are too good for the sign that reads; LOADING ZONE ONLY, NO PARKING!!!!

** I only wish the above picture gave it justice but of course while trying to be sneaky in taking the picture it had cleared out and now looks like there is all the space in the world. Trust me there isn't!

AMEN SISTA!! What the hell is wrong with some people? Drop off and pick up is only one of the many reasons I HATE half day kindergarten. Hallejuliah my kids school has full day kindergarten -- I never have to do it again!!!
♥ I'd be irriated too! Next time don't be conspicuous. Make them think that you're taking pictures to turn them in! Of their license plate and stuff in front of the loading zone! :)

Seriously it is totally annoying, i am the mom who shoves her 3 year olds in the back and tells them to hurry and put themselves in their car seat, then later realizes that they never did. haha (only when just down the street of course)
Kate- how 'bout the ones who do it with the entire school waiting on them- NOT just the kinders. Then there is the mom who picks her kids up 15 min early each day so she never waits in any line. Of course then she pulls in and parks right in the carpool line. But hey she is out of there before school is even out so she is excused right!!?
Surrender it now!!!!!!!!! You need some chocolate therapy. I hate carpool, I can't wait until my kids drive their own butt to school...;)
Hey, it was a lot of fun watching Twilight with you and the girls, maybe we should do it for Harry Potter, where they actually recommend chocolate to make you feel better after dementors attack (a.k.a. moms doing carpool)
I think that's... yes, it is... that's my van! I recognize the little dent on the drivers side door. If you have a problem with me, meet me on the playground today at 3:00 sharp. We'll settle this like two totally irrational moms! (No weapons please) I want to publicly humiliate you like you have done to me. I now have to sell the van for fear of being recognized in Mommy circles! I think I'll buy a white Yucon, I hear perfect people drive those!!!

I ONLY wish I had my real camera out there today, it was as if the general public KNEW I had posted this, the pick up today was one of the biggest clusters EVER!!!!! HOLY HELL!!!!!
That sounds very unnerving. I would be spitting mad if I had to deal with this and probably not very nice too.

I so feel your pain! I cant STAND the Kindergarten Drop off/pick up! I switched to a different dance school this year because of parking issues similar to this! It's frustrating!!
