Camping in American Fork Canyon. It has been SO much fun to take the kids camping. Brooke and I are only invited up for the first evening. So we go up and have dinner and smores and we leave. (much to the relief of all of us) Scott and the kids go up and stay for a few days each time. Grandma Alger was even there for one trip, and she loved the foil dinners!
They have had so much fun!!
The kids tell me each time that their favorite part is going up to Silver Lake and roasting marshmallows over the fire.

Going for supper and smores and then leaving is the only kind of camping I do! Hee hee. I practically grew up in a tent, my quota has been met.
I haven't been camping in years. In fact we don't even own a tent. Sad.

I'm not much of a camper, so I think it was awesome that you went for food and came back to your nice and cozy bed.

We love AF canyon!!! We like to get chicken at KFC adn then roast marshmellows and make smores!!! My kids also love to sled up by the resevoir!!
AF sounds great, I looove smores.
But I am not opposed to camping out at Turtle Bay in Oahu.

It looks like they had so much fun! Scotty is such a good dad to spend his time taking the kids camping!
our family reunion camp out is next weekend. I'll be there for the roasting of things, but my tent will be about $65 a night and in the form of a hotel room!
You know how long it's been since we've been camping?? Too long. That's how long. We plan to reconcile this next month.
My kids & husband LOVE it! Me with the baby, not so much... But we went 3 times this last month! It was great!
